Fish Pie recipe

This is another easy to bake recipe, ideal for once in a while when you feel like fish.

You can make this meal ahead of time and heat up later on (be sure to add 5-10 minutes to the cooking time).

Cooking time   25 minutes

 

Ingredients

 

400g   haddock or cod fillet

400g   mixed potatoes/sweet potatoes

½   onion or pepper

50g   bacon

25g         butter

40g   flour

1 small can tomatoes

25ml milk

salt, pepper & parsley

 

 

v      Chop onion or pepper

v      Dice bacon

v      Cut fish into 5cm square piece

v      Fry in butter for 10 minutes (do not brown)

v      Peel, boil and mash potatoes

v      Stir flour in with fish, add tomatoes and boil

v      Pour into dish, top with potatoes and bake for 25 minute, GM5

 

A mild soup (e.g. mushroom) with the fish also tastes good
